Quick & Easy Wagyu Steak
Ingredients:
- 1 Wagyu steak (around 200g)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
- 1 garlic clove, crushed (optional)
Instructions:
- Let the Wagyu steak come to room temperature before cooking.
- Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it’s very hot.
- Add the steak to the dry skillet, searing it for about 2 minutes on each side to get a golden-brown crust.
- Lower the heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and herbs to the pan. Baste the steak with the melted butter for another 1-2 minutes on each side for a medium-rare doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain the juices.
Serve with roasted vegetables or a light salad!
