Quick & Easy Wagyu Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 Wagyu steak (around 200g)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Let the Wagyu steak come to room temperature before cooking.
  2. Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it’s very hot.
  4. Add the steak to the dry skillet, searing it for about 2 minutes on each side to get a golden-brown crust.
  5. Lower the heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and herbs to the pan. Baste the steak with the melted butter for another 1-2 minutes on each side for a medium-rare doneness.
  6. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain the juices.

Serve with roasted vegetables or a light salad!
